West Allegheny Inline Hockey, WAIH for short, is comprised of teams from the Varsity level down through Elementary and and draws players from the West Allegheny School District.  Our program continues to grow with over  90 players across 8 teams signed up for the fall/winter PIRHL league.  Though we are not affiliated with the West Allegheny School District, we do partner with them to help distribute sign-up information and promotional material as needed.

This past year has been one of constant growth and change for the organization - all with the emphasis of putting a first class organization in place to support our players and the WA area.  We have partnered with a local health care provider to ensure our coaches are oriented on dealing with concussions and outfitted with first aid kits, supported the community by helping out the PALS program, held our 1st Annual WAIH Winter Classic for all players, and even found time to introduce our new primary jersey.

WAIH participates in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League (PIRHL).  The upcoming season will have over 135 teams across a multitude of Western PA school districts.  As such, the PIRHL is the largest roller hockey league in the United States!

We also participate in the Spring programs at RMU to continue to develop players and also to provide a low cost means for new players who want to try inline hockey before jumping into a full Fall/Winter PIRHL season.

The 2011-12 fall season is upon us and the WAIH Board and Coaches are already excited for what the future is going to hold.  We're committed to constant improvement in bringing a quality, respected group of teams to play each year and this upcoming season promises to be one of our best yet!
